PMC Electrical Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in all electrical design.
• Ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards.
• Coordinate and monitor electrical design and engineering with EPC contractors to meet project expectations and time frames.
• Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPC contractors, ADNOC Engineering, and operations to resolve technical issues and ensure quality, discipline engineering execution, and integrity.
• Perform regular and timely technical reviews of electrical engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants and contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
• Ensure integration of overall electrical engineering and overall coordination within the IPMT electrical engineering team.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of engineering consultant and EPC contractor electrical engineering design activities.
• Review and approve engineering consultant and EPC contractor work, ensuring compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices.
• Coordinate engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models, contributing input and expertise to design optimization and validation.
• Participate in teams for equipment sizing and selection, considering optimization and standardization.
• Ensure that facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environmental and health aspects.
• Ensure full utilization of existing facilities while optimizing the facilities required for new projects.
• Participate in layout reviews, model reviews, design reviews, and technical workshops.
• Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers.
• Coordinate technical reviews, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning.
• Report to ADNOC discipline team leader, engineering manager, and provide support to project managers and engineers within the project management team organization.
• Interface with managers, team leaders, and engineers in company technical departments, business units, operations units, and logistics department.
• Interface regularly with contractor engineering and project management teams and discipline engineers as required.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.
• Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
• Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
• Ability to make independent decisions in planning, organizing, and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems.
