The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMC I & C Construction Engineer for all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and according to quality and safety standards for a high-profile client.
Job ObjectiveTo act as the Owner’s ADNOC representative within the PMC team, overseeing and ensuring that all construction activities executed by EPC contractors are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in full compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications and international best practices.
Skills And Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas projects
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
- At least 5 years in a PMC role on ADNOC or similar Middle East projects
- Strong experience in large‑scale EPC/EPCM projects with CAPEX > USD 500M
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards, specifications and work practices is essential
- Must be qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa
- Monitor and supervise EPC contractor construction activities for I & C discipline, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, method statements and IFC deliverables.
- Validate contractor construction sequences, work packs and resource deployment plans, identify potential delays or conflicts and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
- Champion ADNOC’s Zero Incident safety culture across all site activities, ensuring strict adherence to HSE policies, procedures and permit‑to‑work systems.
- Participate in site safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations; intervene in unsafe acts and ensure immediate corrective actions.
- Ensure construction works comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications and international codes.
- Review and witness inspections, tests and certifications.
- Interface with QA/QC teams to ensure proper implementation of ITPs and Inspection & Test Plans.
- Ensure proper handling of NCRs and close‑out actions.
- Act as the primary PMC interface with EPC contractors for construction‑related matters.
- Review contractor progress, productivity, and manpower reports; challenge inefficiencies and ensure optimal resource utilisation.
- Support commercial and contracts teams in evaluating variations and claims related to construction.
- Track construction progress against baseline schedules.
- Identify critical‑path issues and delays, coordinate recovery plans, and provide accurate and timely reporting to PMC management and ADNOC stakeholders.
- Participate in weekly/monthly progress review meetings.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, commissioning and operations teams to resolve site technical queries (TQs) and construction‑related issues.
- Ensure proper interface management between different contractors and disciplines.
- Support pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities; ensure construction completion, system handover and punch‑list clearance.
- Verify mechanical completion and readiness for startup.
