PMC Specialist HVAC Engineer
Responsibilities
Lead HVAC system design for control rooms, substations, telecom shelters, buildings and hazardous area ventilation systems, pressurization and smoke management systems.
Perform heat load calculations using HAP/Carrier software or equivalent.
Equipment sizing and selection for chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and exhaust systems.
Develop and review HVAC layouts, ducting drawings, and schematics.
Prepare material requisitions (MR) and conduct technical bid evaluations (TBE).
Ensure compliance with ADNOC engineering standards, international codes such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ISO.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams:
Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil.
Review vendor documents and approve HVAC equipment submittals.
Support procurement and ensure timely material delivery.
Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning.
Resolve site technical issues and ensure design integrity.
Ensure HVAC systems meet hazardous area classification requirements, fire and gas system integration.
Promote HSE policies aligned with ADNOC guidelines.
Participate in HAZOP, HAZID studies, design reviews and safety audits.
Lead and mentor HVAC engineers and designers.
Interface with client representatives and the ADNOC PMC team.
Manage engineering deliverables, schedules and manpower; ensure QA/QC of HVAC deliverables.
Oversee HVAC system pre‑commissioning and commissioning, validate performance testing (TAB), testing, adjusting and balancing.
Ensure documentation of as‑built drawings, O&M manuals and commissioning reports.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of HVAC engineering experience, with at least 5 years as a Lead Engineer.
- Experience in large ADNOC oil processing EPC/EPCm projects.
- Proficiency with HAP/Carrier, AutoCAD, Revit software.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, DW144 standards.
- Familiarity with ADNOC specifications and procedures.
- Experience in explosion‑proof HVAC systems and redundancy/reliability design philosophy.
