Position Overview

Quantity Surveyor – AECOM Middle East – Abu Dhabi, UAE. AECOM Middle East is hiring an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support cost planning, tendering, and contract administration for major construction and infrastructure projects.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor and equipment.
• Develop and analyze bills of quantities for tender documentation.
• Review and evaluate contractor tenders and commercial submissions.
• Support preparation of contracts, procurement plans and project cost strategies.
• Conduct value engineering to enhance project cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with design teams to ensure cost-effective technical solutions.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Measure quantities for cost plans, estimates and tender packages.
• Implement and monitor cost control procedures throughout project lifecycle.
• Assist with financial claims and contract administration.
• Evaluate variations, additions and omissions for monthly cost reporting.
• Prepare and negotiate change orders with clients and contractors.
• Perform market testing and analyze tender returns for benchmarking.
• Maintain and update project cost databases for future reference.

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• RICS certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant quantity surveying experience.
• Proficiency in cost estimation tools and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent documentation, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Understanding of UAE construction contracts, procurement and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Organized, accurate and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Collaborative approach with cross-functional project teams.
• Adaptability to evolving project needs and industry trends.
