Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble mechanical and optical sub‑assemblies under supervision, including mounting of optical elements and installation on optical benches.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of EO systems, including power supplies, optics and control units, in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Carry out calibration, alignment, functional checks and acceptance testing as directed, including ESS testing and return‑to‑service activities.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, usage and accountability of assigned tools, test equipment and EO components during maintenance activities.
  • Operate standard alignment and test equipment such as autocollimators, interferometers, beam profilers and spectrophotometers.
  • Assist in the alignment of optical components (lenses, mirrors) to meet defined performance requirements.
  • Support final testing and validation of EO systems prior to release.
  • Record maintenance activities, test results, equipment usage and assembly records in accordance with quality requirements.
  • Maintain job cards, test logs and work instructions.
  • Follow safety procedures, cleanroom standards and contamination control practices at all times.
  • Work closely with senior technicians, engineers and cross‑functional teams (mechanical, electrical, thermal) during integration and testing.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and support corrective actions when required.
  • Communicate technical issues clearly and maintain accurate technical records.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or college graduate in Electronics, Optics, Mechanical or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of EO systems or optical components (training will be provided).
  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Knowledge of safety and cleanroom practices is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently under guidance and as part of a team.
