HSE Manager - MEP

Six Construct operates across commercial and residential buildings, sports and leisure facilities, infrastructure and marine‑related projects.

The MEP HSE Manager ensures that all MEP construction, testing, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project, client, and regulatory requirements.

• Primary HSE focal point for all MEP activities.
• Full accountability for MEP HSE performance aligned with contractor strategy.
• Lead and manage the MEP HSE team, including subcontractors and JV partners.
• Promote the 4 Fundamental Safety Principles across all MEP activities.

• Develop, implement, review, and enforce MEP‑specific HSE procedures and risk assessments.
• Implement control measures for high‑risk activities, including:
  • Energisation and live electrical works
  • Temporary electrical systems
  • Isolation and LOTO procedures
  • Pressure testing
  • Lifting operations
  • Confined space entry
  • Hot works
  • Work at height
  • Interface and simultaneous operations
• Monitor commissioning exclusion zones and interface risks.

• Coordinate with Project, Construction, MEP, QA/QC, and commissioning teams.
• Verify subcontractor HSE readiness prior to mobilisation.
• Support client, consultant, and authority inspections ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

• Plan and conduct HSE audits, inspections.
• Promote near‑miss reporting and corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and lessons learned.
• Prepare HSE performance reports.
• Enforce HSE compliance across all MEP activities.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related.
• NEBOSH International Diploma (mandatory).
• Minimum Graduate IOSH certification.
• ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor qualifications.
• Additional technical certifications:
  Electrical Safety / LOTO, Fire Safety, Confined Space Entry, First Aid.

• Minimum 12 years of HSE experience.
• At least 7 years within MEP, infrastructure, or building services projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior HSE leadership role.
• Proven delivery of large‑scale projects in UAE/GCC region.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, testing and commissioning, HVAC, pressure testing, multi‑contractor interface management.
