Penspen is urgently looking to hire for Sr. Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical Systems) - Offshore, WHTs, Subsea & Piping, BFs for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.
Qualification Required- The candidates should have Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineer from an accredited university.
- Execute Mechanical Systems commissioning activities for offshore oil & gas projects, including Wellhead Towers (WHTs), offshore platforms, subsea pipeline developments, subsea cable-associated facilities, and brownfield modifications.
- Responsible for ensuring that all mechanical equipment and systems are safely pre-commissioned, commissioned, tested, started up, and handed over to Operations in accordance with project specifications, international standards, company procedures, and operational requirements
- Plays a key role in achieving mechanical completion, operational readiness, safe startup, and reliable long-term operation of offshore facilities
- Develop Mechanical Commissioning Execution Plans (CEP), procedures, schedules, and systemization strategies.
- Review mechanical engineering deliverables, vendor manuals, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and operating philosophies.
- Define system and subsystem boundaries for Mechanical Completion (MC), pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup.
- Commission mechanical systems associated with offshore Wellhead Towers and production facilities.
- Verify production and utility interfaces between WHTs and central processing facilities.
- Support offshore hook-up and commissioning campaigns.
- Support commissioning of mechanical systems associated with subsea pipeline developments.
- Verify pigging facilities and pipeline mechanical systems.
- Support hydrotesting reinstatement and pipeline startup activities.
- Develop commissioning and startup strategies for brownfield projects.
- Coordinate shutdown and tie-in activities.
- Ensure safe execution of mechanical testing and startup activities.
- Coordinate OEM and vendor specialists during commissioning and startup.
- Resolve technical issues impacting startup and operational readiness.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years significant in offshore project.
- Proven dedicated experience in mechanical commissioning and startup experience.
- Experience in commissioning Offshore platforms, Wellhead Towers (WHTs), Jackets and topsides, Brownfield offshore facilities
- Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.
- Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is advantage.
