Role Overview
As an Integration Testing Technician for Field Operations you will be the tactical link between our R D facility and real-world deployment. You will be responsible for the final assembly, pre-flight preparation, and operational support of UAV systems. This role requires a unique blend of technical precision in the workshop and boots‑on‑the‑ground resilience during extended field campaigns. You will often be the face of the company when working alongside external clients and must maintain peak equipment performance in challenging and occasionally hazardous environments.
Key Responsibilities- Tactical Field Support:
Execute setup, teardown, and maintenance of UAV platforms and Ground Control Station (GCS) hardware during multi‑day field test campaigns. - Pre‑Flight and Post‑Flight Operations:
Conduct rigorous pre‑flight inspections, battery/fuel management, and post‑flight structural assessments to ensure safety and data integrity. - Various Environment Operations:
Safely manage equipment and operations in diverse conditions including remote terrain, extreme weather, and areas requiring strict adherence to explosive or high‑energy safety protocols. - Rapid Repair and Troubleshooting:
Perform flight‑line diagnostics and emergency repairs, including repair, mechanical adjustments, and component swaps to minimize downtime during testing. - Logistics and Inventory:
Manage mobile workshop inventory ensuring all specialized tools, spare parts, and safety equipment (PPE) are accounted for and mission‑ready.
- Technical
Experience:
3 5 years of experience in UAV operations, aerospace maintenance, or a similar field‑heavy technical role (e.g., oil gas, defense, or robotics). - Operational Resilience:
Proven ability to work in outdoor environments for extended periods and maintain focus in high‑pressure or hazardous settings. - Technical Literacy:
Strong ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings to troubleshoot complex systems on the fly. - Mechanical Aptitude:
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, signal testers). Experience with heavy‑lift UAV platforms is highly desirable. - Communication
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to remain professional and helpful when interfacing with external stakeholders and clients. - Physical Capability:
Ability to lift and maneuver equipment up to 25kg and remain active on your feet in rugged terrain. - Travel Flexibility:
Willingness to travel frequently and work non‑standard hours. - Additional
Certifications:
Valid driver s license, first aid certification, experience with hazardous material handling, LiPo safety, fuel handling are significant pluses. - Education:
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field. Experience in UAV, integration, Testing or field operation.
