Job Overview

The Fleet Engineer reports to the Airbus Technical Fleet Manager – Fleet Management and is responsible for the compliance of applicable CAR‑AIR – ODS, CAR M and CAR 145 requirements to ensure continuing airworthiness and maintain the high aircraft safety standards.

Key Accountabilities
  • Review all Airbus related Airworthiness Directives and mandatory Service Bulletins for the Etihad Airways Fleet, ensuring that all mandatory modifications are properly assessed, performed and complied with in a timely manner.
  • Work with OEMs, MROs and internal departments to improve fleet reliability, on‑time performance and cost efficiency.
  • Create business cases for modifications and facilitate decision making in the Modification Review Committee.
  • Compile Engineering Orders, Special Checks and Additional Engineering Requirements for modification, aircraft status assessment for reliability and safety issues.
  • Support technical projects such as EIS, end‑of‑aircraft‑lease modification projects and ensure all related tasks are completed.
  • Ensure all TFU FAIRs are reviewed regularly and related advisories are issued.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with internal processes and procedures.
  • Encourage a positive reporting culture by reporting unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and safety risks.
  • Provide support to the Lead Engineer on the Fleet Management functions.
Qualifications
  • Three‑year CAMO experience as a Fleet Engineer or Technical Services Engineer, or five years job‑related experience in Technical Commercial Aviation or Airline Engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics Engineering (meeting eligibility for membership as a Chartered Engineer).
  • Aircraft B1/B2 type training on A320, A350 or A380 fleet and experience in AMOS MIS is an added advantage.
