Work Schedule:
12-hour shifts, 28 Days On / 28 Days Off Rotation, Senior Position (Not entitled to overtime)
The Drilling Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of offshore drilling, completion, and workover operations. The role provides on-site leadership for all well operations, ensuring compliance with company procedures, HSE standards, drilling programs, and operational objectives while coordinating logistics, contractors, and service providers.
Key Responsibilities Operational Management- Supervise day-to-day drilling, completion, and workover activities at the rig site.
- Ensure operations are executed in accordance with approved drilling programs, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor drilling performance and recommend operational improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce non-productive time.
- Coordinate rig moves, rig positioning activities, and associated risk assessments.
- Manage logistics, including planning, ordering, transportation, storage, and backloading of equipment and materials.
- Ensure full compliance with Company HSE policies, procedures, and ADNOC Codes of Practice.
- Conduct and review Job Safety Analyses (JSA), risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
- Lead emergency response activities and act as On-Scene Commander when required.
- Organize and participate in emergency drills and safety exercises.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drilling contractors and service companies at the rig site.
- Coordinate required services, equipment, and resources to support operational activities.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Prepare and submit Daily Drilling Reports (DDR), progress reports, and operational updates.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, material transfers, safety meetings, and lessons learned.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of operational performance, costs, incidents, and inventory status.
- Conduct regular inspections of rig equipment and third-party assets.
- Monitor inventory levels of equipment, materials, supplies, and spare parts.
Ensure proper maintenance and safe return of surplus materials and equipment to company stores. Qualifications Education- Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
- Valid IWCF Level 4 Certification or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in oil and gas drilling operations.
- At least 3 years of offshore drilling experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience in drilling, completion, and workover operations.
- Knowledge of EDM (Open Wells) software is preferred.
