Airbus Fleet Engineer - Cabin​/Interior

Overview

The Fleet Engineer reports to the Airbus Technical Fleet Manager - Fleet Management and is responsible for the compliance of applicable CAR-AIR
-OPS CAR M and CAR 145 requirements to ensure continuing airworthiness and maintain high aircraft safety standards.

• Review all Airbus related Airworthiness Directives and mandatory Service Bulletins on the Etihad Airways Fleet to ensure that all mandatory modifications are assessed and all related actions are performed and complied with in a timely manner.
• Work with OEMs, MROs and internal departments to improve fleet reliability, on‑time performance and reduce cost.
• Create business cases for modifications and facilitate decision-making in the Modification Review Committee.
• Compile Engineering Orders, Special Checks and Additional Engineering Requirements for modification aircraft status assessment for reliability and safety issues.
• Support technical projects such as EIS, end-of-aircraft lease and modification projects.
• Ensure that all TFU FAIR are reviewed regularly and related advisories are issued.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with internal processes and procedures.
• Encourage colleagues and actively promote a positive reporting culture by reporting any unsafe acts, unsafe conditions or safety risks.
• Provide support to the Lead Engineer on Fleet Management functions.

• Tertiary qualifications meeting the eligibility requirements for membership as a chartered engineer (e.g., Bachelor degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical/Electronics engineering).
• 3 years CAMO experience as Fleet Engineer/Technical Services Engineer or 5 years job‑related experience in Technical Commercial Aviation or Airline Engineering preferred.
• Aircraft B1/B2 type training on A320, A350 or A380 fleet and experience with AMOS MIS considered an advantage.
