Penspen is urgently looking to hire for Sr. Commissioning Engineer (Safety Systems) - Offshore, WHTs, Subsea & Piping, BFs for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.
Qualification Required- The candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation/ Control Systems/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering from an accredited university.
- Execute commissioning activities related to Safety Systems for offshore oil & gas projects, including Wellhead Towers (WHTs), offshore platforms, subsea cable and pipeline developments, and brownfield modifications
- Responsible for ensuring that all Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Fire & Gas (F&G) systems, Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems, and associated safety-critical equipment are installed, tested, integrated, validated, and handed over in accordance with project specifications, international standards, regulatory requirements, and operational safety objectives.
- Acts as the focal point for all safety systems commissioning activities and ensures that the facility is ready for safe startup and operation
- Develop Safety Systems Commissioning Execution Plans, procedures, and test protocols.
- Review engineering deliverables, control philosophies, cause-and-effect charts, shutdown narratives, and safety requirement specifications.
- Define commissioning system boundaries and handover sequences.
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL verification, constructability, and operational readiness reviews.
- Prepare commissioning schedules aligned with project milestones and startup plans.
- Ensure commissioning requirements are incorporated into project execution strategies
- Support commissioning of safety systems on offshore Wellhead Towers and associated facilities.
- Verify communication and shutdown interfaces between WHTs and central processing facilities.
- Verify communication and shutdown integrity between offshore and onshore facilities.
- Participate in integrated testing involving subsea infrastructure.
- Participate in client witnessing and acceptance testing.
- Manage technical clarifications and commissioning-related issues.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years significant in offshore project.
- Proven experience in commissioning experience involving safety systems
- Experience in Offshore platforms, Wellhead Towers (WHTs), Jackets and topsides, Brownfield offshore facilities
- Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.
- Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is advantage.
