Graduate Project Engineer

Job Description

As part of Penspen’s strategic initiative to strengthen the UAE’s national talent pool, we are seeking fresh Engineering Graduates to be based in Abu Dhabi.

Supports Project Engineer with project planning, reporting and monitoring activities.

• Prepare & maintain project schedules and control registers.
• Ensure project control procedures are followed while preparing schedules, progress measurement systems, reports, etc.
• Monitor project progress based on key milestones and performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight any slippages.
• Prepare graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate project progress / cost status and forecast requirements for client / project team.
• Ensure projects are executed within the contractual duration and allowed budgets and identify / issue potential variations to client.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure all project activities are completed in a timely manner, identify and report any potential delays.
• Prepare & track invoices as per invoicing procedures.
• Prepare and issue weekly/monthly reports as stipulated by client on agreed cut-off dates to assess the project progress, shortfalls, concerns etc.
• Organize / participate in meetings such as project progress review meetings.

• 1-2 years’ experience in oil & gas industry.
• Knowledge of standard practices in handling projects.
• Good knowledge & hands‑on experience in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Must have hands‑on experience with planning tools like Primavera v6.0, MS Project.
• Familiarity with international codes, standards and regulations.

• A degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
