PMC Permit Coordinator
Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMC Permit Coordinator with a proven track record in the Oil and Gas Engineering industry.
Key ObjectivesTo supervise and control the Permit to Work (PTW) system ensuring all work activities on site are authorized, risk‑assessed, and executed safely in compliance with ADNOC HSE standards, project procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Supervise the issuance, monitoring, and closure of work permits for all construction and maintenance activities.
- Ensure permits are issued in accordance with ADNOC PTW procedures and project HSE requirements.
- Verify that all required risk assessments, method statements, and safety documents are attached before permit approval.
- Maintain strict control over simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) activities.
- Coordinate with construction, operations, HSE, and contractor teams before permit issuance.
- Conduct site verification to confirm work conditions match permit requirements.
- Identify and control conflicting permits or hazardous activities.
- Ensure all activities comply with ADNOC HSE standards, PTW procedures, and safety regulations.
- Verify isolation certificates, gas testing results, and safety precautions before issuing permits.
- Stop work if unsafe conditions are identified.
- Supervise the permit office operations and ensure proper documentation control.
- Maintain permit registers, logs, and records for auditing purposes.
- Monitor permit validity and ensure timely suspension, extension, or cancellation.
- Conduct regular worksite inspections to ensure work is performed as per permit conditions.
- Monitor high‑risk activities such as hot work, confined space entry, excavation, lifting operations, and electrical isolation.
- Provide PTW system training and guidance to contractors and project personnel.
- Support the implementation of ADNOC HSE policies and safe work practices.
- Prepare daily permit reports and activity logs.
- Report permit violations, safety issues, and incidents to the HSE Manager.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas onshore projects.
- At least 5 years of experience as Permit Issuer / Area Authority.
- Strong experience on ADNOC Onshore projects is mandatory.
- ADNOC Permit to Work (PTW) Issuer / Area Authority Certification.
- H2S Awareness.
- IOSH / NEBOSH (preferred).
- First Aid & Fire Fighting certification.
