General Purpose of RoleResponsible for coordination of project plans, contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by Worley. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders. Bridges the technical gap between the Project Manager and Engineers. Often functions as assistant project manager with an engineering background. Ascertains that engineering work is done according to plan by helping with design interpretation.
Reviews bill of materials, project schedules, and forecasts for accuracy. This role would apply to those with an engineering background.
Typically manages multiple small projects, a single medium project or a portion of a large or mega project within the organization and/or for customers, with daily operational responsibilities. Works with multi‑discipline project team members to develop technical/functional solutions to strategic project objectives. Solutions are derived from available resources provided internally and/or externally, including policies and procedures. May serve as a proposal manager for small to medium projects.

- Ensures Worley methodologies, processes, tools and systems are used throughout the project and compliance requirements are met/satisfied.
- Applies knowledge of all aspects of a project (engineering, procurement, quality control, etc.) to oversee the successful execution of the project plan.
- Ensures design team is aware and complying with customer Basis of Design and applicable codes and regulations.
- Demonstrates attention to detail.
- Demonstrated understanding of EPC project delivery workflow and coordination.
- Basic exposure and understanding of procurement/subcontracting and on‑site construction support.
- Financial Acumen
- Applies in‑depth knowledge of customer contract to the oversight and management of the project.
- Strong understanding and application of business drivers, financial reporting standards.
- Project design deliverables and design quantities are tracked and analysed.
- Understands project cost buildup including gross margin.
- Tracks cost and schedule and uses analytical skill to forecast trends.
- Ensures proper change control processes are understood and used by the project team.
- Execution Planning & Performance
- Translates contract requirements for project scope into Worley scope of services and deliverables.
- Ensures project schedules and resource plans are developed and utilized in managing the project tasks.
- Manages execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress.
- Develops action plans to address project tasks and issues.
