Job Overview
Responsible for leading development of Gradiant’s CURE Chemicals, providing advanced technical support across the oil & gas, petrochemical, utility and wastewater treatment sectors, and driving product innovation, commercialization, and safety compliance.
Technical Support- Provide technical support for the application of CURE Chemicals across Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, upstream, Utility equipment, and Wastewater Treatment industries.
- Lead development of Gradiant’s CURE chemicals: formulation review, lab‑scale validation, performance optimization, and application testing.
- Assist product trials, pilot testing, new product introductions, and prepare technical submissions, chemical treatment proposals, and performance reports.
- Deliver advanced technical support to customers, perform field troubleshooting, failure investigations, and root‑cause analysis.
- Lead product performance reviews and optimization studies.
- Support business development through technical presentations, workshops and proposals.
- Participate in site audits, pilot trials, commissioning, and performance evaluations.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for CURE Chemicals technologies.
Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies and regulatory changes in the water treatment sector; identify opportunities for innovation; lead development of new products or processes that enhance water treatment efficacy and sustainability.
Product Management- Lead formulation development of specialty process chemicals (corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, antiscalants, oxygen scavengers, antifoams, CIP chemicals, biocides, etc.).
- Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept to commercialization, including benchmarking, competitive analysis, and intellectual property generation.
- Maintain records of chemical performance, support product portfolio development and coordinate laboratory testing and product evaluations.
- Ensure all duties performed in compliance with ISO
9001, ISO
14001, ISO
45001, and ADOSH SF standards. - Contribute to continual improvement in quality, environmental and occupational health & safety performance.
- Ensure research activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards, including ISO and governmental requirements.
- Implement best practices for laboratory safety and maintain a culture of safety within the team.
Maintain accurate records of research activities, experimental protocols and results; prepare and submit necessary documentation for regulatory approvals and compliance.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (Master’s/Ph.D. highly advantageous).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Robust problem‑solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting research findings, writing reports, and collaborating with other departments or stakeholders.
- Knowledge of water treatment chemistry and process optimization.
- Extensive expertise in refinery process chemistry, produced water treatment, cooling water treatment, boiler water chemistry, petrochemical process chemicals, and industrial wastewater treatment.
- Deep understanding of chemical formulation development and product lifecycle management.
- Strong customer engagement, technical sales support, project leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Over 10 years of experience in specialty chemicals, industrial water treatment chemicals, refinery chemicals, upstream oil & gas production chemicals, petrochemical process chemicals, eco‑friendly chemicals or related industries.
- Proven experience in formulation development, product commercialization, field troubleshooting, customer technical support, and new product introduction.
- Experience supporting major refinery, petrochemical, energy, and industrial customers highly desirable.
