The PMC Constructability Specialist is responsible for ensuring that engineering designs are optimized for efficient, safe, and cost-effective construction and installation. The role bridges engineering and construction by embedding constructability principles early in the design phase and throughout project execution.
Responsibilities Constructability Planning & Strategy- Develop and implement the Constructability Program in line with ADNOC project requirements
- Prepare the Constructability Execution Plan (CEP) and ensure integration with overall project execution strategy
- Define constructability objectives, procedures, and KPIs
Review FEED and detailed engineering deliverables to ensure:
- Ease of construction and installation
- Modularization and prefabrication opportunities
- Accessibility for construction and maintenance
- Provide early input to eliminate design inefficiencies and reduce rework
- Ensure alignment with ADNOC standards, specifications, and HSE requirements
Coordinate closely with:
- EPC contractor construction teams
- Conduct constructability workshops and design reviews with stakeholders
- Ensure lessons learned from previous ADNOC projects are incorporated
- Overall project execution strategy
- Heavy lifting plans
- Site logistics and sequencing
- Ensure methods are safe, practical, and optimized for site conditions.
Identify opportunities for:
- Offsite fabrication
- Modular construction
Assess benefits in terms of:
- Schedule reduction
- Cost savings
- Identify constructability-related risks and constraints early
- Provide mitigation strategies for:
- Congested layouts
- Interface clashes
- Limited access or lifting constraints
- Support project risk workshops and HAZID/HAZOP reviews.
- Conduct site visits to ensure:
- Compliance with constructability recommendations
- Resolution of field issues
- Assist in troubleshooting construction challenge
- Capture and document lessons learned
- Contribute to ADNOC knowledge base and best practices
