Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and audits of work areas, facilities, and equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
  • Analyze HSE data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance safety performance.
  • Lead the development and delivery of HSE training programs to educate employees on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and environmental stewardship.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning, design, and execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and track HSE performance metrics, including leading and lagging indicators, to measure progress toward established goals and targets.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on HSE‑related issues, including regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and emergency response planning.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and community stakeholders to stay abreast of emerging HSE trends and regulatory developments.
  • Support the development and implementation of emergency response and crisis management plans, including conducting drills and exercises to test preparedness and response capabilities.
  • Participate in internal and external HSE audits and assessments, providing documentation and evidence to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain HSE management systems and documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions, to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and requirements.
  • Facilitate HSE communication and engagement initiatives to promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site personnel on the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the overall success of the HSE function and the organization.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in a health, safety, and environment (HSE) role, preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional diploma or certification in Occupational HSE, Process Safety, or Risk Management preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance to ensure adherence to HSE regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in HSE analysis and reporting.
