Specialist Structural Engineer – K

K  is expanding its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an offshore development project in Abu Dhabi. The role will be based initially in the client or contractor’s office in Abu Dhabi and may later relocate to an Asian location for the FEED phase.

• Engineering & Design:
  Conduct advanced structural analysis for offshore platforms (fixed and floating), design jackets, decks, modules, subsea structures, and foundations; execute fatigue, strength, and dynamic analysis; review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications; ensure compliance with standards such as API, ISO, DNV, AISC, Eurocodes.
• Project Execution Support:
  Support FEED, detailed design, and execution phases; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (pipeline, naval, mechanical, fabrication); provide technical input for procurement, fabrication, installation; participate in constructability reviews and offshore installation planning.
• Analysis & Tools:
  Utilize software such as SACS, SESAM, STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS; perform structural integrity assessments, pile and foundation design; load‑out, transportation, and installation analysis.
• Technical Leadership:
  Act as subject‑matter expert; mentor engineers; review technical deliverables; troubleshoot and provide solutions during offshore operations.
• Quality & Compliance:
  Ensure adherence to client specifications and industry guidelines; participate in design reviews, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, risk assessments; maintain safety and engineering integrity.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 10–15+ years of offshore structural engineering experience.
• Strong experience with major EPC contractors or oil & gas operators.
• Professional certification (PE, CEng) preferred.
