PMC Senior Mechanical Rotating Engineer - DCU & MHC

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMC Senior Mechanical Rotating Engineer with a proven track record in overseeing deliverables of the mechanical engineering team ensuring safety, quality and adherence to industry standards in project design and execution for a high-profile client.

• Provide technical expertise in all mechanical equipment design.
• Ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards.
• Coordinate, monitor and handle static equipment design and engineering with EPC Contractor as per project expectation and complete the same within the time frame.
• Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPC Contractor, ADNOC Engineering, Operation Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality discipline engineering execution and integrity.
• Perform regular and timely technical reviews of Mechanical Engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards and best practices.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in mechanical rotating equipment in the refining industry, specifically in Delayed Coker Unit and Mild Hydrocracker Unit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.
• Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
• Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
• Ability to make independent decisions in planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems.

• Ensure integration of overall Mechanical Engineering and overall coordination within IPMT Mechanical Engineering Team.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant and EPC Contractor Mechanical Engineering design activities.
• Review and approve Engineering Consultant and EPC Contractor work and ensure compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards and best industry practices.
• Coordinate the required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models.
• Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models for design optimization and validation.
• Participate in teams for equipment sizing, equipment selection considering optimization and standardization.
• Ensure that the facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects.
• Ensure full utilization of the existing facilities while optimizing the facilities required for the new projects.
• Participate in layout reviews, model review, design reviews and technical workshops.
• Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers.
• Coordinate technical reviews, bid evaluation and performance evaluation.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader, Engineering Manager and provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization.
• Interface with Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers in the Company's Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units and Logistics Department.
• Interface regularly with Contractor's Engineering and Project Management team and discipline engineers as and when required.
