Planning Engineer CIVIL

Responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals and contractual obligations, and managing project risk and progress.

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using software like Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring alignment with project goals and contractual obligations.
• Conduct thorough progress monitoring, analyzing variances between planned and actual progress, and proactively identifying potential delays or risks.
• Prepare and present comprehensive progress reports, including schedule updates, earned value analysis, and critical path analysis to stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with the project team—including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors—to gather data and ensure schedule accuracy.
• Evaluate and incorporate changes, variations, and claims into the project schedule, updating the baseline and assessing their impact.
• Perform risk analysis and mitigation planning, identifying potential project threats and developing strategies to minimize their impact on the schedule.
• Assist in the preparation of bid schedules and proposals, providing realistic and competitive timelines for project execution.

• Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering principles.
• Holds relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or planning-specific certifications.
• Demonstrates 5+ years of experience in construction planning, preferably in infrastructure or large-scale civil projects, highlighting hands‑on expertise.
• Exhibits proficiency in using scheduling software like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Shows a proven ability to analyze complex project data, identify critical paths, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse project teams.
