Job Description Junior Instrument Design Engineer (UAE National Fresh Graduate)

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Instrument Design Engineer (UAE National) to join our Engineering team. This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates who are passionate about Instrumentation & Control Engineering and wish to develop their careers within the Oil & Gas and Energy sector. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers and gain hands‑on experience in the design, engineering, and execution of upstream, midstream, and downstream projects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of instrumentation engineering deliverables for oil and gas projects.
- Support the development of instrument datasheets, specifications, and material requisitions.
- Participate in the preparation and review of:
- Instrument Index
- I/O Lists
- Hook‑up Drawings
- Loop Diagrams
- Cable Schedules
- Instrument Location Plans
- Cause & Effect Diagrams
- Control System Architecture Drawings
- Assist in selecting field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.
- Support engineers in conducting engineering calculations and technical evaluations.
- Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Piping disciplines during project execution.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP workshops, and technical meetings as required.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with project specifications, client requirements, and international standards.
- Maintain engineering documentation and project records.
- Support site visits, surveys, and commissioning activities when required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience.
- UAE National with Family Book.
- Strong academic background and willingness to learn.
- Good understanding of instrumentation and control engineering fundamentals.
- Knowledge of engineering standards and practices is an advantage.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic understanding of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
- Knowledge of oil and gas processes and instrumentation principles.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical competencies.
