The Role
Experienced PMC Senior Mechanical Static Engineer with a proven track record in overseeing deliverables of the mechanical engineering team, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to industry standards in project design and execution for a high-profile client.
Job DescriptionThe PMC Constructability Specialist is responsible for ensuring that engineering designs are optimized for efficient, safe, and cost-effective construction and installation. The role bridges engineering and construction by embedding constructability principles early in the design phase and throughout project execution.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement the Constructability Program in line with ADNOC project requirements.
- Prepare the Constructability Execution Plan (CEP) and ensure integration with overall project execution strategy.
- Define constructability objectives, procedures, and KPIs.
- Review FEED and detailed engineering deliverables to ensure ease of construction and installation, modularization and prefabrication opportunities, accessibility for construction and maintenance, and alignment with ADNOC standards, specifications, and HSE requirements.
- Coordinate closely with engineering disciplines (civil, structural, piping, mechanical, E&I) and EPC contractor construction teams; conduct constructability workshops and design reviews with stakeholders.
- Evaluate and approve construction methodologies, including heavy lifting plans, module installation strategies, site logistics and sequencing; ensure methods are safe, practical, and optimized for site conditions.
- Identify opportunities for offsite fabrication and modular construction; assess benefits in terms of schedule reduction, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
- Identify constructability-related risks and constraints early and provide mitigation strategies for congested layouts, interface clashes, and limited access or lifting constraints.
- Support project risk workshops and HAZID/HAZOP reviews.
- Provide ongoing support during construction phase, conduct site visits, verify compliance with constructability recommendations, resolve field issues, and troubleshoot construction challenges.
- Capture and document lessons learned; contribute to ADNOC knowledge base and best practices; recommend improvements for future projects.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or equivalent).
- Professional certifications are an advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in refinery projects.
- At least 5+ years in constructability or construction engineering roles.
- Strong experience in PMC roles on ADNOC or similar Middle East projects.
- Experience in EPC/EPCM project execution.
- Construction techniques and sequencing.
- Modularization strategies.
- Heavy lifting and rigging.
- ADNOC standards and specifications.
- International codes (API, ASME, ISO).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.

PMC Engineering Manager / Project Manager. - Interfaces with: ADNOC stakeholders, EPC contractors, discipline engineers, construction teams.
- Based in Abu Dhabi with frequent site visits (onshore/offshore depending on project).
