Position Title

PLC Control Draftsman

To prepare, develop, modify and maintain PLC, SCADA control system instrumentation and electrical control drawings for Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Pumping Stations, and Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) facilities. The role ensures that all engineering documentation complies with project specifications, client requirements, applicable codes, standards, and quality procedures.

• Prepare and update PLC control system drawings, panel layouts, and automation documentation using AutoCAD.
• Develop and maintain Control Panel General Arrangement (GA) Drawings.
• Prepare PLC Panel Layout Drawings and associated control system documentation.
• Create and update SCADA System Architecture Drawings and Network Architecture Drawings.
• Develop Control Wiring Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, and Interconnection Diagrams.
• Prepare Terminal Block Drawings and Cable Schedule Drawings.
• Generate and maintain I/O Allocation Drawings and Instrument I/O documentation.
• Prepare Junction Box Drawings and Instrument Hook-up Drawings.
• Develop and update Cause‑Effect Matrix Drawings for process control systems.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, and Automation Engineers to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency.
• Review engineering mark‑ups and incorporate revisions into project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, client specifications, and industry regulations.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision control records, and document management systems.
• Support project execution, commissioning, and as‑built documentation activities.
• Participate in design reviews and technical coordination meetings as required.

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a PLC / Control Draftsman in water, wastewater, utilities, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and control system drafting practices.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, electrical control systems, and industrial automation.
• Experience in STP, WWTP, Pumping Stations, TSE, or utility infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with international standards, control panel design, and instrumentation documentation.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
