We are seeking a Procurement Engineer with strong experience in sourcing and purchasing finishing materials for construction and fit-out projects. The role requires technical understanding, supplier management, and cost control to ensure timely and quality procurement.
Key Responsibilities- Manage procurement of finishing materials such as tiles, marble, gypsum, joinery, sanitary ware, lighting, paint, glass, and FF&E items
- Review BOQs, drawings, and specifications to identify material requirements
- Source and evaluate suppliers locally and internationally
- Obtain quotations, perform technical & commercial comparisons, and prepare LPOs
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
- Ensure materials comply with project specifications and quality standards
- Coordinate with site, design, and project teams for approvals and material submittals
- Track deliveries and ensure on‑time supply to avoid project delays
- Maintain procurement records, cost reports, and supplier database
- Handle variation orders and urgent procurement requests
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Construction Management
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement within construction or fit‑out projects
- Strong experience specifically in finishing materials procurement (MANDATORY)
- Knowledge of UAE supplier market and materials
- Familiarity with BOQ analysis, ERP systems, and procurement software
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of UAE construction standards and material approvals
