Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced welding procedures and specifications to ensure structural integrity and code compliance for complex projects.
- Oversee welding quality control, conducting rigorous inspections and non‑destructive testing (NDT) to identify and rectify potential defects before they impact project timelines.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to provide expert input on weldability, material selection, and joint design, optimizing for manufacturability and cost‑effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical welding issues in real time, minimizing downtime and preventing costly rework on high‑stakes projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- International Welding Engineer (IWE) Certification – Mandatory.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of WPS, PQR, Welder Qualification, ASME, AWS, API, and ISO standards.
- Experience in welding engineering, quality compliance, and technical support.
- ADNOC project experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
