We are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of UAE experience in infrastructure, roads, and bridge projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure alignment with construction progress and contractual deadlines. The role includes supporting the Planning Manager in identifying potential delays, highlighting critical activities, and coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities to ensure effective project execution and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain project schedules including baseline schedules, recovery schedules, and impacted schedules.
- Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with the approved schedule.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Develop project dashboards and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Prepare and review Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
- Support discussions on contractual and planning matters with consultants and clients.
- Prepare and review contractual correspondences related to project planning and delays.
- Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation measures.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering - Minimum 10 years’ experience in infrastructure project planning and controls.
- Strong scheduling and forecasting abilities using industry-standard tools
- Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of contract terms (FIDIC, turnkey, reimbursable, etc.)
- Able to manage multiple interfaces and perform well under pressure
- Clear communicator with strong reporting skills to senior management and clients
