Key Objectives for this Role
  • Drive engineering excellence within Instrumentation, Controls and Telecommunications teams for onshore and offshore projects across the region
  • Ensure safe, high‑quality delivery of engineering services and governance of discipline practices
  • Lead discipline engineers on both onshore and offshore projects, maintaining oversight of all activities
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert and champion continuous improvement across the organisation
  • Model the company’s values and behaviours, upholding high standards of safety, ethics and inclusivity
Responsibilities Engineering Delivery & Performance
  • Drive a culture of safety and performance across the discipline team
  • Maintain engineering integrity and compliance across all work scopes
  • Focus on process safety and eliminate technical incidents through controls and lessons learned
  • Support technical assurance activities, including audits and incident investigations
  • Provide discipline resources to projects and deliver work according to company procedures and customer requirements
  • Manage and optimise resource utilisation against workload demand and budgets
  • Support workforce planning, including short‑term and annual forecasting
  • Collaborate with other discipline managers to integrate engineering inputs into execution plans
  • Establish and improve discipline engineering systems, tools and processes for cost‑effective execution
  • Identify innovation opportunities and emerging technologies
  • Identify margin improvement and efficiency enhancement opportunities
Strategy, Development & Business Support
  • Support business development to identify and secure new work
  • Review and optimise proposal man‑hours for discipline
  • Provide discipline input to proposals with other discipline leads
  • Support and strengthen workshare strategies across engineering centres
People & Capability Management
  • Set vision and strategic direction for the discipline engineering group
  • Provide line management to direct reports, including performance management and career development
  • Recruit, develop and plan for succession to meet business needs
  • Implement discipline competence frameworks
  • Identify skills gaps and organise training or development plans
  • Build an inclusive, diverse and high‑performing team culture
Governance, Policies & Procedures
  • Develop, maintain and improve discipline processes, procedures, manuals and IP in line with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Guide on applicable codes, standards and legislation
  • Maintain discipline software tools aligned with corporate policies
  • Support project delivery assurance through reviews and governance activities
  • Implement continuous improvement via structured change management
Authority & Influence
  • Decision making significantly impacts technical quality, finance and project outcomes
