Position Title

Instrumentation Draftsman

To prepare, modify and maintain instrumentation engineering drawings and documentation for Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Pumping Stations, and Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) facilities. The role ensures that all instrumentation drawings and engineering documentation comply with project specifications, client requirements, applicable standards, and quality procedures.

• Prepare and update instrumentation drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop and maintain Instrumentation Location Layout Drawings.
• Prepare and update Instrument Indexes and Instrument Data Sheets.
• Develop Instrument Hook‑up Drawings and Instrument Installation Details.
• Prepare Loop Diagrams, Interconnection Diagrams and Termination Drawings.
• Generate and maintain Junction Box Drawings and Cable Routing Drawings.
• Prepare Cable Schedules and Instrument Cable Documentation.
• Develop and update Instrument I/O Lists and related engineering records.
• Review and incorporate P&‑ups, revisions and engineering changes.
• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical and Control Engineers to ensure accuracy and consistency of instrumentation documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, client standards, international codes and engineering best practices.
• Maintain drawing registers, document control records and revision histories.
• Support project execution, construction, commissioning and as‑built documentation activities.
• Participate in design reviews and technical coordination meetings as required.
• Ensure timely delivery of instrumentation drawings and documentation in accordance with project schedules.

• Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Instrumentation Draftsman in industrial, utility, water, wastewater, or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and instrumentation drafting standards.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, field instruments, control systems, loop drawings, cable schedules, and P&IDs.
• Experience with STP, WWTP, Pumping Stations, TSE, Water Treatment Plants, or utility infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with international standards and instrumentation engineering documentation practices.
• Good communication, coordination and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
