Technical Engineer - Civil Construction
Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Engineer with a background in civil construction to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods, materials and processes as well as the ability to manage and coordinate various technical aspects of a project. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement within our company.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee technical aspects of civil construction projects including site preparation, foundation work, structural design and building systems
- Review and interpret project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with engineering standards and local regulations
- Collaborate with project managers, architects and other engineers to develop and implement project plans and schedules
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and identify any potential issues or delays
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings and calculations to ensure accuracy and quality of work
- Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams and subcontractors
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions to technical problems or challenges that may arise during construction
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on all construction sites
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in construction technology and techniques
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and processes
- Experience with project management and coordination
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of local construction codes and regulations
- Valid UAE driving license is preferred
