Process Engineering Lead - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Role Summary ADNOC Offshore seeks an experienced Process Engineering Lead to direct and supervise all process engineering activities within assigned projects. The role ensures compliance with engineering standards, supports technical studies, and provides expert guidance across project phases, from design to commissioning, ensuring operational safety and efficiency.

Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate all process engineering activities and provide technical consultation to operations teams.
  • Prepare progress and performance reports, identify critical areas, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards; maintain ISO certification for the process section.
  • Review and approve EPC contractor deliverables related to process and control systems.
  • Assess system and equipment designs for safety, operability, and maintainability.
  • Provide on-site technical consultation during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
  • Act as Technical Authority for process discipline engineering, mediating technical disputes and validating key engineering documents such as philosophies, design bases, and policies.
  • Develop, review, and update engineering standards, specifications, and codes of practice to align with international best practices and ADNOC requirements.
  • Identify and recommend innovations and process improvements for enhanced operational performance.
  • Participate in HSE-driven studies, risk assessments, and workshops to ensure compliance and safety across operations.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in process engineering roles within oil and gas projects, including exposure to EPC stages and offshore environments.
  • Strong understanding of design standards, technical integrity, and operational excellence.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of HSE compliance, process modeling, and simulation tools.
Professional Skills
  • Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC standards and ISO certification processes is preferred.
Work Environment

Primarily office-based with occasional site visits to project locations; exposure to outdoor conditions during field work.
