This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the largest port‑related infrastructure projects in the region, involving complex technical systems, multidisciplinary coordination, international suppliers, and demanding execution timelines.

About the Role

The successful candidate will take ownership of project execution from engineering and procurement through to site installation, testing, commissioning, handover, and close‑out. We are looking for someone who is hands‑on, structured, commercially aware, and confident in managing a challenging project timeline. The role requires strong coordination between the client, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, internal teams, and site stakeholders. A strong understanding of project priorities, contractual requirements, quality expectations, and customer communication is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of a large-scale industrial infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi.
  • Manage project schedule, milestones, priorities, risks, and critical path activities.
  • Ensure timely delivery in line with agreed scope, quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate multiple technical disciplines including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, site installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Act as a key interface with the client, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
  • Drive clear communication, decision‑making, action tracking, and follow‑up across all stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks early and implement mitigation measures to protect the timeline.
  • Manage project documentation, correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, approvals, and action lists.
  • Support contract administration including variations, claims support, extension‑of‑time matters, and FIDIC‑related procedures.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between design, procurement, delivery, site execution, commissioning, and final hand‑over.
Required Experience
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in industrial, infrastructure, EPC, port, logistics, mechanical, construction, or system integration projects.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary projects with technical, commercial, contractual, and site execution interfaces.
  • Experience in the UAE, GCC, or wider MENA region is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC‑based contracts and contractual project procedures.
  • Strong customer‑facing communication skills and ability to manage expectations professionally.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and project control capabilities.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results within tight project timelines.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Arabic is optional.
Key Skills
  • Strong project ownership and leadership mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder management.
  • Strong prioritization under pressure.
  • FIDIC affinity and contractual awareness.
  • Technical coordination across multiple disciplines.
  • Critical path and schedule management.
  • Risk identification and mitigation.
  • Customer communication and expectation management.
  • Quality‑focused execution.
  • Strong reporting and documentation discipline.
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making ability.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multicultural project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is an advantage.
  • FIDIC training or practical experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar planning tools is an advantage.
  • Previous experience with large‑scale port, industrial, infrastructure, logistics, or EPC projects is an advantage.
