Job Description
Assistant Resident Engineer (Civil) – Abu Dhabi, UAE. Parsons is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team on a new infrastructure assignment. The role supports the Resident Engineer by leading field engineering and site supervision activities for stormwater, pump station and utilities works, ensuring successful delivery in accordance with contract requirements, approved specifications, quality standards and HSE procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform field engineering duties including constructability reviews and monitoring of work in progress.
- Maintain first‑level quality assurance to ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable industry standards.
- Review contractor technical submissions and support the resolution of site and engineering issues in coordination with design disciplines.
- Monitor construction schedules and progress; prepare progress reports and provide appraisal data to the Resident Engineer.
- Ensure required inspections and testing activities are performed, witnessed, and properly documented in accordance with approved procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate site inspection staff to ensure effective site coverage and compliance monitoring.
- Monitor material procurement and deliveries to support construction schedules and quality requirements.
- Maintain daily site records, logs, discipline turnover documentation, and as‑built information to support project handover activities.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and procedures.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant construction supervision experience on infrastructure and utility projects.
- ADM/DMT engineering license or approval is required (can be obtained during mobilization/joining).
- Strong understanding of engineering and construction processes, standards, QA/QC practices, and infrastructure supervision requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project systems for reporting, coordination, and documentation management.
- Strong English communication and coordination skills in a multidisciplinary project environment.
- Knowledge of contractual relationships, project close‑out procedures, and handover/as‑built documentation for utility and infrastructure works.
