Civil Engineer; Sewerage Pumping Station
Job Description
The Civil Engineer will support and work on projects associated with Sewerage Pumping Station in Abu Dhabi. This involves investigations, planning, design, tendering, contract administration and construction supervision & monitoring.
Key Accountabilities Technical DeliveryAssist the Resident Engineer in administering day‑to‑day operational functions of utilities works, interacting with contractors, sub‑contractors, laboratories and monitoring construction work daily.
Coordinate with government departments, contractors, consultants and the public to facilitate progress and avoid delays. Coordinate direct activities with other engineers and the construction supervision team.
Maintain logs of project progress, hand‑over and final accounts.
Arrange progress meetings for utilities, minute them and distribute records. Chair meetings with utilities agencies and other delegated meetings.
Assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, and related correspondence, preparing replies for the Resident Engineer.
Prepare instructions, specifications, reports and cost estimates.
Coordinate with contractor engineers on scheduling and resource application.
Direct, assist and monitor inspectors and surveyors as applicable.
Review and approve design documents, construction plans and procedures.
Prepare/described Weekly and Monthly progress reports. Keep necessary as‑built records and oversee handing over of utility works to service authorities and assist in obtaining final clearance.
Identify non‑conforming works, generate reports and corrective actions, coordinate responses.
Perform other associated responsibilities as appropriate.
Collaboration and Working as part of a teamWork with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required.
Conduct technical feasibility studies and site investigations.
Liaise with remote teams worldwide to facilitate task and project completion.
Be a good communicator.
Client Service ManagementInternal and external client DM Infrastructure liaison.
Build and maintain lasting, positive relationships.
Experience in utility diversions and management.
Safety and QualityFollow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work safely.

Design for safety—Construction Design Management.
Other DutiesOther duties as requested by the Resident Engineer.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 8 years of experience in miscellaneous sewerage pumping stations and drainage work projects.
- Experience in TAQA Water Infrastructure Projects is an advantage.
