This position reports to:
Automation Engineering Manager.

• Execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and ABB guidelines for Distributed Control Systems / Safety Systems / Substation Automation Systems with expertise in 800xA with AC 800M, ABB Infi
  90/S+ and/or other ABB Control Systems.
• Deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers and showcase expertise by working with customers to identify opportunities in the installed base to improve system performance and operational performance.
• Plan and execute service work as per customer order and expectations, ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experience.
• Perform complex field service tasks, identify and resolve high level technical problems, and make analysis through remote or on‑site activity in service categories and products for which you are certified to perform.
• Provide advice and recommendations both internally and to customers within own area of expertise.
• Plan and prepare site work for larger project team and manage related subcontractors at site, coach technicians and engineers, and supervise complex site activities.
• Identify improvement needs and potential solutions for them in the way of working and the products in question, and drive improvement actions in your area of responsibility.
• Take actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB, in close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams.

• Hands‑on and extensive field services experience in the Automation industry.
• Highly skilled in ABB 800xA with AC800M/Symphony Plus (S+) systems and experience working with ICSS and/or PMS/SCMS automation systems in the Oil & Gas and Power & Water markets.
• Over 5 years experience in the automation field, working in ICSS and/or PMS/SCMS systems with ABB control systems.
• Proficient in industrial communication protocols like IEC 61850, Modbus, Profibus, OPC, IEC 101, IEC 104.
• Enhanced knowledge of ABB 800xA with AC 800M/Symphony Plus, and industrial networking and cybersecurity solutions for control systems.
• Passionate about customer collaboration and good communication skills.
• Degree in Engineering with demonstrated expertise in automation systems and process applications across the Oil & Gas and Power & Water industries.
• Comfortable communicating in English with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
