Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Component Repair Engineer to join our team in ICAD 3, Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the repair, inspection, and refurbishment of gas turbine components with hands‑on experience in rotor and combustor components. The role requires a strong technical background in power generation or oil & gas industries, ensuring repairs are carried out in accordance with OEM standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform engineering assessment, repair planning and technical evaluation of gas turbine components.
- Develop and review repair procedures for rotors, combustors and other critical turbine components.
- Analyze component failures and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with production, quality and engineering teams to ensure timely execution of repair activities.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications and repair documentation.
- Ensure all repairs comply with OEM standards, quality requirements and customer specifications.
- Provide technical support during inspection, assembly and testing activities.
- Prepare technical reports, repair records and engineering documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance repair processes, quality and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and company procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience as a Component Repair Engineer or in a similar engineering role.
- Experience in the Power Generation or Oil & Gas industry is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of gas turbine component repair and refurbishment.
- Hands‑on experience with rotor components, combustor components, turbine components.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and technical reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation tools.
- Experience working with OEM standards and repair methodologies.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and inspection processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and repair techniques for gas turbine components.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
