Engineering Manager Drilling & downhole completion tools

Job Summary

One of our clients in Abu Dhabi is looking for Engineering Manager (Drilling & downhole completion tools).

• Core Product
  
  Experience:
  
  Complete engineering design and validation ownership of downhole tool assemblies, including:
  • Hydraulic and Mechanical Liner Hangers (featuring string rotation capabilities during cementing).
  • Integrated Liner Hanger Packers (with pocket‑type slips, anti‑premature setting mechanisms, balanced pistons, and bonding elements).
  • Downhole Setting & Running Tools (Hydraulic release, mechanical release for heavy strings, and hydro‑mechanical tools with heavy‑duty clutches).
  • High‑Pressure Packers & Plugs:
    Single/double grip retrievable packers, extended reach seal bore packers, drillable/retrievable bridge plugs, and cement retainers.
  • Float Equipment and cementing accessories.
  • Required Design Software:
    Advanced modeling using PTC Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) and AutoCAD 2D.
  • Quality & Validation Standards:
    Extensive experience under API Spec Q1 and ISO 9001.
  • Direct experience validating components to API 11D1 (V6‑R to V0‑R grades), API 19LH / ISO 14310, API 5CT, and API 14L.

• Operations Knowledge:
  Must understand rig‑site operations, troubleshooting under pressure, and translating engineering blueprints into physical, high‑pressure‑tested downhole equipment on the shop floor.
• 10 to 15 years of hard mechanical design and manufacturing experience within these niche product lines.
