Graduate Renewable Energy Consultant – Clean Energy Business, Abu Dhabi

Wood is recruiting for a Graduate Renewable Energy Consultant to join our Clean Energy business in Abu Dhabi, focusing on renewable energy, energy storage, and hybrid power projects across the Middle East. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi with opportunities for regional travel and collaboration with global teams.

As a Graduate Renewable Energy Consultant, you will participate in technical due diligence, engineering, project management, and analysis. Upon completion of the graduate program you will progress to a Renewable Energy Consultant role, with the opportunity to specialize in Advisory Services, Project Management, or Engineering.

• Understanding of different renewable energy systems
• Strong report writing skills; ability to produce clear, cohesive reports
• Enjoyment of collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

• Support the assessment of renewable energy, energy storage, and hybrid projects for stakeholders
• Work within multidisciplinary teams on technical due diligence and engineering assignments
• Attend client meetings and undertake site visits across the Middle East
• Prepare and deliver high-quality reports within deadlines
• Support proposal development to secure new projects

• Working towards or completed an MSc in Renewable Energy or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or related field
• Previous experience (internship or voluntary) in renewable energy is desirable
• Strong communication and report writing skills in English
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
• Flexible and proactive approach to project delivery
• Right to work in the UAE (visa sponsorship available for international candidates)

• Experience in technical due diligence or renewable energy project development
• Understanding of commercial aspects of renewable energy projects
• Familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation
• Ability to speak Arabic or another regional language
