The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Punch List Engineer with a proven track record in overseeing commissioning on major offshore projects, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to industry standards in project execution for high‑profile clients.

Job Objective

The PMC Senior Punch List Engineer is responsible for leading and managing all punch listing activities across assigned ADNOC projects, ensuring that construction, mechanical completion, and pre‑commissioning works are completed in full compliance with project specifications, standards, and quality requirements. The role ensures systematic identification, tracking, prioritization, and closure of all punch items to support timely project handover, safe start‑up, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of punch list systems and procedures aligned with ADNOC and project requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with EPC contractors, discipline engineers, QA/QC teams, and commissioning personnel to ensure all punch items are accurately identified, categorized, and recorded.
  • Ensure proper classification of punch items based on criticality, including A, B, and C categories, and drive timely closure in line with project milestones.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and walk‑downs to verify completion status and quality of work against approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Monitor punch list progress, prepare detailed reports, and highlight key risks or delays to project management.
  • Ensure that all punch items are resolved prior to mechanical completion and handover phases, minimizing carry‑over into commissioning and operations.
  • Validate that completed punch items meet quality and safety requirements before closure.
  • Support system handover processes, ensuring documentation is complete and aligned with handover dossiers.
  • Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure smooth transition and readiness for start‑up.
  • Drive contractor accountability for punch closure and participate in audits, reviews, and meetings to track performance and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, electrical, or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in oil and gas projects with significant exposure to punch listing, mechanical completion, and commissioning phases within ADNOC or similar large‑scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, ADNOC specifications, and project execution practices.
  • Proven experience in managing punch list systems, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and working within PMC environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving capability, and ability to prioritize and manage large volumes of punch items under tight schedules.
  • Familiarity with digital punch list and completion management systems such as CMS.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to interface effectively with contractors, clients, and internal teams.
  • Capability to work in site‑based environments and manage multiple project priorities while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
