Provide technical leadership for piping engineering within FEED and Detail Engineering projects in the Oil & Gas sector. Define piping design bases, codes, standards, and deliverables to ensure safe, reliable, and cost‑effective solutions. Serve as the single point of contact for all Piping deliverables and activities, interface with clients and other stakeholders for successful project execution.

• Lead the engineering design of piping systems, supports, routing, isometrics, stress analysis, and related components.
• Develop and review piping design basis, material specifications, datasheets, and technical bid evaluations.
• Perform and supervise piping stress analyses, thermal expansion, pipe routing optimization, and vibration considerations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project‑specific requirements.
• Participate in risk assessments and safety reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA) and consider operability/maintainability.
• Facilitate 3D model reviews and plot‑plan reviews internally and externally with client, operations, and other stakeholders.
• Review and approve technical deliverables (isometrics, P&IDs, BOMs, MOC/Change Notes, design change requests, technical queries).
• Develop and manage execution plans, man‑hour estimates, and budgets for piping scope.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC practices and adherence to quality of deliverables.
• Review and approve standard deliverables, various datasheets, and requisition packages related to piping.
• Support field construction, commissioning, and start‑up activities; address punch lists and as‑built documentation.
• Stay current with advances in piping technology and recommend value‑added solutions.
• Understand the MOC process and employ effective change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to lessons learned from the project.
• Liaise with other supporting offices to ensure timely delivery of piping scope.

• 18+ years of experience in concept, FEED, and detail engineering with EPCM experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• 5+ years as a lead design engineer in the Oil and Gas sector.
• Experience with Middle East clients such as ADNOC, ARAMCO, PDO, Qatar Energies, and others preferred.
• Familiarity with onshore and offshore facilities and with greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Experience working with multicultural project teams across various project execution centers.

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Professional membership or relevant certifications (e.g., PE, Chartered Engineer) are a plus.
• Certification related to piping design or stress analysis is advantageous.

• Strong background in piping design, engineering, stress analysis, and support design.
• Site survey or site deputation experience required.
• Proficiency with piping design software and calculation tools (e.g., CAESAR, AutoPIPE, and 3D modeling tools).
• Experience preparing manpower estimates for different piping activities and deliverables across project phases.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, regulations, and practices applicable to design and construction of various facilities.
• Hands‑on knowledge of codes and standards relevant to piping.
• Experience with high‑pressure piping, thermal insulation, coatings, and corrosion considerations.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision‑making abilities.
• Diverse experience in project management, conceptual, FEED, and detailed design, and construction.
• Knowledge of interdisciplinary work processes, interfaces, and deliverables.
• Track record of completing project scope within time and budget constraints with optimized cost.
• Responsible for training and development of engineers in the team.
• Feeds the Piping and Layout Department improvement system by capturing lessons learned during projects.
• Adherence to company processes and procedures; handles internal and external project audits.
