The Field Development team’s purpose is to translate the Majnoon Field Development Plan into an executable plan, whereby a series of capital projects are defined and matured to the Front‑End Engineering Design stage (FEED). The team articulates development strategies for hydrocarbons and non‑hydrocarbons streams, models feasible options, and prepares the Basis of Design.

The Senior Reservoir Engineer contributes to the development and updating of the FDP execution plan and builds full‑field reservoir models and development strategies, ensuring project scope and timing are adequate before kick‑off.

• Reservoir Modeling: Perform fit‑for‑purpose and detailed dynamic flow simulations to support project feasibility, concept formulation and optimisation. Conduct reservoir, well and field performance analyses, history‑matching, long‑term forecasting, and participate in WRFM field reviews.
• Technical Leadership & Governance: Obtain technical assurance sign‑off, provide technical assurance to WRFM and field studies, establish best practices and workflows across reservoir engineering discipline.
• Production Optimization: Support short‑ and long‑term hydrocarbon production strategies, assist with forecasting, decline curve analysis, material balance and nodal analyses.
• Reserves Management: Assist PE Manager with annual reserves certification (1P/2P/3P) and SPE‑PRMS compliance; interface with auditors for reserves reporting.
• Data & Technology: Implement strict data‑management procedures, ensure full auditability of raw and interpreted data, oversee data quality assurance and integration into models.

  Ensure all activities comply with corporate HSE and regulatory standards, lead subsurface risk assessments and mitigation plans.

• Education: Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or Reservoir Engineering (mandatory). PhD in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering (preferred).
• Experience: 15+ years in reservoir or petroleum engineering, with at least 5 years in integrated FDP studies and project maturation. Explicit involvement in Concept Selection Review and Basis for Design is required.

  Strong background in major oil & gas reservoirs (carbonate/clastic, conventional/unconventional). Experience in the Middle East and Iraqi Southern Oil Fields is advantageous.

• Expertise in conventional reservoir simulation (e.g., Eclipse, Intersect).
• Experience running PetroVR and producing type curves, full‑field scenarios.
• Proficiency in production optimisation tools (e.g., PROSPER, GAP, MBAL).
• Solid understanding of well testing, pressure‑transient analysis and flow assurance.
• Good grasp of process engineering requirements and interface with reservoir engineering.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and strategic thinking skills.
