Aircraft Design Engineer – Unmanned Aerial Systems; UAS

Job summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Aircraft Design Engineer to join our Aircraft Body Team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for conceptualization, design, and development of aircraft and its components: wings, fuselages, control surfaces, etc.

• Creating detailed three‑dimensional surface models of aircraft components using 3D CAD software
• Design and optimize shapes and aircraft structures to improve aerodynamic performance
• Generate precise technical drawings, including sections based on the 3D models for manufacturing, assembly, and testing purposes
• Designing assemblies and sub‑assemblies of aerospace systems, ensuring proper fit, function, and integration of components
• Close collaboration with CFD and FEM engineers, providing support to structural engineers by creating CAD models for finite element analysis and structural simulations
• Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure design meets performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Updating and revising existing CAD models and drawings based on feedback, design changes, or new requirements
• Assisting in the creation of prototypes and mock‑ups based on CAD designs to support testing, evaluation, and validation processes
• Support the aircraft development from concept to production, resolving any design, manufacturing, and assembly issues along the way

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in CAD software (Solid Works, Siemens NX)
• Strong understanding of aeronautical design principles and industry standards
• Experience in creating detailed and complex surface 3D models and technical drawings for whole aircraft and aircraft components
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles
• Prior experience in the aeronautical industry or a related field is desirable
• Experience with composite materials and their design principles in aircraft structures
• Fluent in English language (minimum C1 level), both spoken and written
• Familiarity with CFD, structural analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus
• Experience with prototyping and testing processes is desirable
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and other team members to develop and refine designs
• High level of self‑reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously is required
