Responsibilities
- Develop detailed piping designs, including layout isometric drawings and stress analysis, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry codes.
- Create and review PIDs, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, and PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) to accurately represent process flow and equipment integration.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and surge analysis to optimize piping system performance and prevent operational issues.
- Specify piping materials, valves, and fittings, taking into account process conditions, corrosion resistance, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering principles.
- Minimum of 13 years of hands‑on experience in piping design and engineering, preferably within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sectors.
- Proficiency in piping design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, or E3D, enabling efficient and accurate drawing creation.
- Solid understanding of international piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME B1, ASME B3, API, TEMA).
