Rigging Engineer - Walkin Chennai
Responsibilities
Develop and implement detailed rigging plans for complex lifting operations ensuring safety and efficiency in challenging environments. Conduct thorough site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and devise mitigation strategies before commencing any rigging activity. Select appropriate rigging equipment including cranes, hoists, slings and shackles based on load weight, geometry and environmental conditions. Supervise and guide rigging crews ensuring adherence to established procedures, safety protocols and project timelines.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong theoretical foundation. Minimum of 13 years of progressive experience specifically in rigging engineering, with a proven track record of successful project execution. Certification as a Certified Rigger or Certified Crane Operator (e.g., NCCCO) is highly desirable, showcasing validated expertise. Experience in heavy industrial sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or large‑scale construction projects.
EligibilityCriteria
- Experience in Pipeline / Oil & Gas / EPC / Flowline / Wellhead / Brownfield / Upstream / Onshore.
- Gulf / ADNOC experience preferred.
- Age not exceeding 49 years (50 years for managerial positions with significant Gulf experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of Gulf experience in the relevant field for managerial and senior roles.
- Preferred:
Candidates with Metro / Building / Road Infrastructure experience are not eligible.
