Static Specialist
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job PurposeWe are seeking an experienced Static Equipment Specialist to support a major Upstream PMC project
. The role is responsible for providing technical expertise in the engineering and design review of static equipment throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, and project specifications.
The ideal candidate must have practical experience in Early Production Facilities (EPF) and Upstream Oil & Gas projects, with mandatory exposure to Front-End Engineering (Concept/Pre-FEED), Detailed Engineering, and EPC phases.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise for the engineering and design of static equipment in accordance with project requirements and applicable industry standards.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, including equipment datasheets, specifications, calculations, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documents.
- Ensure the design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, storage tanks, separators, pig launchers/receivers, air coolers, fired heaters, and other static equipment complies with ADNOC requirements and international codes.
- Review vendor packages and monitor the timely resolution of technical queries and deviations.
- Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, Design Reviews, Model Reviews, Constructability Reviews, and technical workshops.
- Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Pipeline disciplines to ensure integrated engineering solutions.
- Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Resolve engineering issues arising during EPC execution and recommend practical technical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC engineering standards, project specifications, quality requirements, and HSE regulations.
- Support project planning by monitoring engineering progress and identifying technical risks that may impact project delivery.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Professional Engineering registration is an advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven experience on PMC, Engineering Consultancy, or EPC projects.
- Mandatory practical working experience in Early Production Facilities (EPF) and Upstream Oil & Gas projects.
- Mandatory experience in Front-End Engineering, FEED, Detailed Engineering, and EPC project execution.
- Previous ADNOC or other major Middle East operator project experience is highly preferred.
