Job Purpose
To develop, manage, and optimize complex project schedules using Oracle's Primavera P6 software. To communicate between project teams and support functions to ensure alignment and rollout of plan.
Job ResponsibilitiesTechnical Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate Primavera P6 databases and schedules
- Create baseline schedules aligned with project scope and milestones
- Define activities, durations, dependencies, and constraints
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
- Develop CPM (Critical Path Method) schedules
- Create relationships and logic networks
- Perform schedule analysis and reporting
- Generate histograms and manpower forecasts
- Manage schedule revisions and recovery programmes
Site & Operational Responsibilities
- Verify actual progress with site teams
- Ensure realistic activity sequencing
- Prepare short-term recovery plans when delays occur
- Support construction strategy planning
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Update schedules based on actual site progress
- Measure planned vs actual performance
- Track critical path activities and float consumption
Produce:
- Weekly progress reports
- Look-ahead schedules
- S-curves
- KPI dashboards
- Delay analysis reports
Planning & Programme Development
- Prepare Level 1–5 programmes depending on project complexity
- Develop procurement, engineering, construction, commissioning, and handover schedules Integrate subcontractor and supplier schedules into the master programme
- Sequence work activities logically for optimum execution
- Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to activities
- Perform resource loading and leveling
- Support project cash flow forecasting
- Coordinate with cost control teams for earned value analysis
- Diploma, Technical Qualification, High School Certificate, or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
- 6–8 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
