BIM Technician (Infrastructure & Utilities)

Abu Dhabi, UAE

• Work closely with BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure project compliance with policies and processes, and to ensure timely implementation and completion.
• Work with BIM lead, Design Leads and Engineers to develop engineering drawings (arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details) from rough sketches and general engineering information according to established standards and procedures, ensuring timely implementation and completion.
• Understand BIM modeling process and manage all BIM‑related activities from project start‑up to completion.
• Review each drawing for readability, presentation, and adherence to standards, in accordance with company QA/QC process.
• Have good knowledge in content creation and ability to create different types of parametric and non‑parametric families.
• Strong knowledge of LOD requirements.
• Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks.
• Have good knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, including clash detection and producing clash reports.
• Able to produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• Diploma or degree in any engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of CAD drafting experience in the MEA/UAE region, covering design and construction supervision projects.
• Experience includes infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, and landscape works preferably within UAE.
• Software experience required:
  AutoCAD, Micro Station, Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks etc.
• Common Data Environment:
  Project Wise, BIM
  360.
• Good knowledge in BIM, understanding LOD requirements and BIM processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
