Team Overview
Technical Projects Division (Gas Operations) is responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of Projects and Engineering modifications across ADNOC Gas assets including Habshan, Bab, BuHasa, Asab, and Habshan‑5. The division manages multiple projects at various Stages ranging from ASSESS, SELECT, DEFINE, EXECUTE, including tendering activities. It manages site execution, material procurement, construction, commissioning, and start‑up to final handover, ensuring structured delivery aligned with ADNOC strategic growth objectives and operational reliability requirements.
Summary of the Role Key Challenges, Key Success Factors RoleManage and lead project engineering activities across the full project lifecycle from ASSESS, SELECT, DEFINE and EXECUTE through commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery of engineering scope within approved safety, quality, schedule, cost, and technical requirements.
Serve as the focal point for engineering management, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, PMC, licensors, EPC contractors, Operations, and ADNOC Group companies to ensure engineering integrity, technical compliance, effective risk management, and achievement of project objectives.
Key Accountabilities Project Engineering Management- Manage and lead multidisciplinary project engineering activities across all project phases and ensure alignment with ADNOC strategies, objectives, and project requirements.
- Participate in development of tender documents and support selection of Engineering Consultants, PMC consultants, licensors, and EPC contractors through technical evaluation and bid assessment processes.
- Coordinate development of Statements of Requirement (SOR), engineering strategies, and implementation plans to support effective project execution.
- Review contractor engineering strategies, specifications, construction methodologies, subcontracting strategies, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Manage technical specialists throughout engineering, construction, commissioning, and start‑up activities and provide guidance on technical issues and engineering decisions.
- Ensure implementation of engineering standards, codes, specifications, and best industry practices throughout project execution.
- Monitor engineering progress performed by licensors, engineering contractors, and EPC contractors and identify bottlenecks requiring corrective action.
- Promote adoption of fit‑for‑purpose, value‑adding, and cost‑effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure application of state‑of‑the‑art technologies, equipment, materials, and systems throughout project execution.
- Review pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures and oversee coordination of multidisciplinary commissioning activities.
- Coordinate engineering support during construction, commissioning, start‑up, and handover phases.
- Ensure engineering deliverables support Operational Readiness, Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, Performance Testing, and Project Handover requirements.
- Ensure effective coordination between Project Management Teams, Engineering Functions, Operations, End Users, Contractors, Licensors, and ADNOC Group companies.
- Facilitate technical alignment and resolution of cross‑functional engineering issues impacting project delivery.
- Maintain effective engagement with vendors, OEMs, and external technical stakeholders throughout project execution.
- Ensure engineering activities are executed in compliance with ADNOC HSE, quality, and technical requirements.
- Support implementation of engineering risk management processes and contribute to mitigation of project and technical risks.
- Ensure engineering inputs to HAZID, HAZOP, PHSER, risk reviews, and technical assurance activities.
- Establish engineering performance objectives and monitor achievement of project engineering KPIs.
