Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Engineering Manager to lead all engineering activities for major Oil & Gas projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, coordinating with clients and project stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of engineering deliverables, and maintaining compliance with ADNOC specifications, international standards, and project quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality engineering deliverables.
  • Manage the preparation, review, and approval of engineering documents developed in-house, by subcontractors, or received from clients.
  • Review and approve design requests, design input documents, design development plans, design verification and validation documents, design outputs, and engineering change notices.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, classification societies, and third-party agencies on engineering and design matters.
  • Establish effective communication between project stakeholders to resolve technical queries and engineering issues.
  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams comprising Structural, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineers and Designers.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables comply with project specifications, ADNOC standards, international codes, and company procedures.
  • Establish and maintain engineering document control systems, revision management, and document traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor engineering progress against project schedules and support project execution teams to achieve project milestones.
  • Ensure engineering activities meet project quality objectives and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Provide technical guidance and engineering support to Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, Planning, and Project Management teams.
  • Coordinate design reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOP/HAZID support, and multidisciplinary engineering interface meetings.
  • Support project risk assessments and identify engineering solutions to minimize technical and commercial risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Engineering Department to enhance productivity, quality, and project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System, Engineering Procedures, and QHSE requirements.
  • Monitor engineering resource utilization and support manpower planning for ongoing and future projects.
  • Provide technical leadership during project execution, commissioning support, and project close-out activities.
  • Perform additional responsibilities assigned by Engineering Management to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (B.E.,

B.Tech., or

B.Sc. Engineering) in Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Civil, or a related Engineering discipline.

Experience: Minimum 15 years of multidisciplinary engineering experience within Oil & Gas EPC, fabrication, modular construction, or industrial projects, including leadership of engineering teams.

Technical

Qualification:

Strong knowledge of ADNOC specifications, international engineering codes and standards, engineering design processes, multidisciplinary coordination, and project execution.

Skills: Excellent leadership, project coordination, stakeholder management, problem-solving, planning, communication, and decision-making skills.

Software: Proficient in MS Office and engineering design/document management systems. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Smart Plant, AVEVA, E3D, or other engineering software is an advantage.

Knowledge: Extensive understanding of engineering design management, document control, multidisciplinary engineering coordination, fabrication engineering, project execution, and quality management systems.
