Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Director to support a large, long-term infrastructure programme in the UAE, involving a diverse portfolio of wastewater projects. The role will lead technical delivery across all design stages, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance across multidisciplinary engineering outputs. You will provide oversight of feasibility studies, concept, preliminary, and detailed design, guiding teams to develop robust, efficient, and buildable solutions.
You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining technical standards, design governance processes, and coordination across all disciplines. The role includes driving effective optioneering, value engineering, and risk‑informed design decisions across the project portfolio. You will also oversee the integration of digital delivery approaches, including BIM, modelling, and data‑led design processes, while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
This position is suited to a senior technical leader with a strong track record in delivering complex infrastructure projects and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Candidate Profile / Credentials:
- Degree in engineering discipline (master’s preferred)
- 20+ years’ experience in design and delivery of major infrastructure projects
- Experience in the GCC
- Chartered Engineer (or equivalent internationally recognised accreditation)
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects
- Strong experience in wastewater / utilities infrastructure design
- Expertise in design governance, technical assurance, and value engineering
- Working knowledge of BIM, hydraulic modelling, and digital engineering tools
- Strong understanding of regional authority requirements and approval processes
